Advancing ocean observations and robotics

Projects

My Work

CARTHE

I joined CARTHE’s LASER and SPLASH field campaigns in the northern Gulf of Mexico. CARTHE aims to understand how oil is transported from a deep well-head to the beach

Greenland

I study iceberg drift and deterioration, ice-ocean interactions, and Greenland’s marine ecosystems.

Photography

Photography plays a key role in my research, but I also do it for fun. Selling stock photography is also one of my side hustles

About Me

I am an observational physical oceanographer with expertise unmanned platforms and method development.

I strive to understand how the ocean impacts icebergs, oil spills, fish larvae, and harmful algal blooms.

I use unmanned robotic platforms, ship-based and moored instrumentation, and satellite data.
